Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a Welfare Officer, who will work as part of the Safeguarding team, providing a front line service, supporting learners’ wellbeing, signposting and referring where appropriate, and monitoring and reviewing learner progress. The post holder will be required to liaise with external agencies to ensure learners receive the best possible support.
The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young people, possess excellent communication skills and must be able to thrive in pressurised situations, using quick and insightful thinking.
Suitable candidates should have 5 GCSEs, A* to C, including Maths and English, and be educated to A Level standard, or equivalent. Candidates should have knowledge of, or have undertaken training on, Safeguarding and Mental Health Awareness.
This post is currently based at the Winsford campus, but will involve travel to Warrington, Hartford and external meetings, as required.
