This course is for plumbing and heating engineers who want to install Domestic Hot Water Storage systems to comply with the appropriate Building Regulations and Standards. You must hold a recognised trade qualification which will include water regulations, or have evidence of experience in the plumbing/heating industry and hold a water regulations certificate.
What will you study?
- Vented and unvented systems and their operating principles
- Design & installation, service & maintenance
- Understand the requirements of section G3 Building Regulations relating to the design, installation and service and maintenance of unvented hot water storage systems and how to comply with the regulations
- Understand the requirements of Part L1 Building Regulations detailing conservation of fuel and power as they relate to the design, installation and service and maintenance of hot water and central heating systems.
Trainees must hold a recognised trade qualification in OR be working towards one OR have evidence of experience in the plumbing or heating industry and hold a Water Regulations certificate.
