School Leavers – Apply Now for September 2021

We are now accepting applications for September 2021.

We have simplified our application process to five easy steps:

1. Apply

Apply online
To apply online, search for the course you are interested in on our school leaver course search. If you find something you like, simply click on the ‘apply for this course’ button. You can then easily create an account online and apply for the course you are interested in.

If you are not sure what level of course to apply for, or wish to apply to multiple subjects, please contact Learner Services on 01925 494494 or email learner.services@wvr.ac.uk.

Apply by post
Print out an application form, and then once you have completed it you can hand it in to Learner Services at our Warrington or Winsford campuses.

You can also mail the application form to:

Admissions Team

Winwick Road

Alternatively, you can request an application form and/or a prospectus to be sent out to you in the post.

2. Interview

You will be invited to attend an interview with the course tutor, or we can interview you in school, if you prefer. The course will be explained to you and we will discuss your predicted GCSE grades.

3. Offer

You will be told if you have received a place to study with us.

4. Sample Sessions & Welcome Days

We will let you know about sample sessions and student welcome days so you can try out the course. In the current climate, these events may move to virtual events and all students will be notified of the format.

Don’t worry if you change your mind and would like to study another course. We want you to do what is best for you!

5. Enrol on GCSE Results Day

You will enrol on to your course on GCSE results day. You will need to bring your results and photographic proof of ID (driving license, passport or birth certificate).

If you haven’t got your grades, don’t panic! Speak to our tutors and they will be able to advise you.

You will receive your ID badge and all the information you need for your first day.

Warrington & Vale Royal College student Maria Clerkin received an ‘exceptional’ offer from the University of Bolton to study Special Effects for Film and TV.

Maria, a former Beamont Collegiate Academy pupil, said: “I’m so lucky to have met my Warrington & Vale Royal College art & design tutor, Rebecca Rogers. Rebecca has encouraged me to express my individuality through my art and really work hard.”
