Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to recruit part time lecturers to teach on a variety of adult part time courses in the following subject areas (posts are subject to January enrolment numbers):

  • Art and Design L2
  • Printmaking L1
  • Jewellery Making L2
  • Shabby Chic Furniture and Home Décor L2
  • Creative Photo Techniques L1 (using Adobe Photoshop & Smart Phone Photo Applications)
  • Digital Business & Marketing L1/2
  • Website Design for Small Businesses L1/2

Candidates should have a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in an appropriate subject, or have extensive experience working in the subject area. Courses are planned to run across both the Warrington and Winsford campuses and are subject to sufficient student recruitment in January 2019. There are day time and evening teaching hours available and candidates should be available to teach either.

For the post of Lecturer in Art & Design or Craft, applicants should have a wide range of practical skills using an extensive range of media within the following disciplines: Fine Art & Printmaking, Textiles, 3D/Multimaterials and Digital Photography/Photo Manipulation.

For the post of Lecturer in Digital Media & Marketing, applicants should have high level digital skills and experience in using the full Adobe Creative Suite, website design software, knowledge of different social media platforms and use in digital marketing, and an awareness of marketing principles.

Candidates should ideally have a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. Candidates should also have a GCSE ‘C’ grade in English and Maths or equivalent level 2 qualification. Applicants should possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills and ideally have previous experience of teaching in a further education college.
