Supported Learning

Our supported learning provision is designed to meet the specific needs some of our learners have, regardless of their level.

It is our intention to identify the starting point of every learner and work with them and their families to determine their aspirations for the future, whether it is independent or supported living, further education or employment through a supported internship.

Lifeskill’s – Pre-entry – Level 1

We will support educational needs and develop the personal and social skills of every learner. This course is tailored to meet the specific needs of learners through a personalised individual learning plan and is designed to support learners to become more independent.

Numeracy and literacy skills are embedded and applied throughout the course and work placement. There is also a focus on developing personal skills, such as communication (including speaking and listening), confidence and self-awareness.

What can I do next?

Our learners may progress to higher levels of foundation learning courses, other courses in college or a supported internship.

Supported Internships

Our supported internships help students with learning disabilities or learning difficulties who have a real willingness to work. The internships are specially adapted to meet the student’s skills and abilities.

Students will be supported by a Job Coach to help them in the workplace and provide them with the support they need.
