College falls silent for Armistice Day

Warrington Collegiate fell silent today as it remembered those have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The moving Armistice Day service began with readings from Public Services students Olivia Guy and Molly Hodgkinson, before a number of prayers read by Rev Dunn.

After the sounding of the Last Post, staff and students from both Warrington Collegiate and Future Tech Studio School observed a two minutes’ silence at 11am, before fellow Public Services students laid a wreath at the foot of the College’s Remembrance Board – filled with the names of loved ones.

As well as organising toady’s service, Public Services staff and students have also been selling Poppies and wrist bands in aid of the Royal British Legion.

Lest We Forget.
