Apprenticeships Explained!

Open to current Year 11 students and their parents/carers, ‘Apprenticeships Explained!’ aims to provide information on how apprenticeships schemes can offer young people a range of excellent opportunities to enter the working world, whilst still studying and working towards a qualification.

Many people have a preconceived idea of what an apprenticeship is, we aim to dispel myths, demonstrate the breadth of opportunities available and explain how to start on your apprenticeship journey ahead of completion of your GCSEs in the summer.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a team building activity, ideal for discussion at a future interview and parents will have the opportunity to take a tour of some of the college’s specialist facilities and see how we reflect the working environment within the college environment during study days away from the workplace.

Furthermore, students who would like to be considered for apprenticeship opportunities with the college can register with us on the day to become part of our talent pool which is designed to match prospective apprentices to suitable vacancies.

Whether you already know that an apprenticeship is for you, or you would like to know more about apprenticeship opportunities, we would love to have you come along and find out more.
