An exciting opportunity has arisen at Warrington & Vale Royal College for a dedicated, inspirational and specialist Lecturer to teach Media and Games.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and professional individual who can teach across a range of L1 to L3 Creative Media Production courses including Creative Media Production: TV & Film, Interactive & Digital Media and Games Design & Development. You will guide students to achieve excellent results through a variety of teaching and learning strategies. The successful candidate will have an up to date knowledge of the changes to vocational education and more specifically BTEC. Your skills will be broad and should include:
Creative Media Production – Production techniques including practical camera, sound and lighting skills, knowledge of pre-production processes, post production skills including editing, the ability to teach film studies and media codes and conventions, animation, motion graphics and social media practices.
Games Design & Development – 3D modelling, programming, concept art and storyboarding, knowledge and skill in using Games Engines, and digital graphics. Applicants should have knowledge and skill in using Unreal, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite and Unity.
This is a full time opportunity for candidates who can teach across the whole range of courses, however, consideration may be given to 2 x 0.5 posts.

You will be educated to Degree level in Games Development/Creative Media or a related subject and have a high degree of industry practice. You will also have a recognised teaching qualification. Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning and delivery is essential, in addition to an ability to meet deadlines and a track record of achieving above benchmark results. It is preferable that candidates have experience in course leading and taking responsibility for a course. Applicants should possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills and have a teaching qualification (QTLS preferred).
