An exciting opportunity has arisen at Warrington & Vale Royal College for a dedicated, inspirational and specialist Lecturer to teach Games and Media.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and professional individual who can teach across a range of L1 to L3 Creative Media Production courses including Digital Media, TV & Film and Games Design & Development. You will guide students to achieve excellent results through a variety of teaching and learning strategies. The successful candidate should have an up to date knowledge of the changes to vocational education and awarding bodies such as BTEC and OCR. Your skills will be broad and should include:
Games Design & Development – Practical techniques in 3D modelling, programming, concept art and storyboarding, knowledge and skill in using Games Engines, and the production of digital graphics. A current understanding of the Games Industry and experience in using Unreal, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite and Unity.
Creative Media Production – Practical production techniques including camera, sound and lighting, post production techniques such as editing, motion graphics and visual effects, animation techniques, social media content production, web design and app development. Knowledge and experience in teaching film studies, media codes & conventions, scriptwriting techniques, storyboarding and pre-production processes.

You will be an enterprising teacher with ambition and drive, with the student experience at the heart of teaching and learning.
You will be educated to Degree level in Games Design/Media Production or a related subject and have a high degree of industry practice. You will ideally have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification (NQTs and unqualified teachers will be considered if they meet the other criteria). Ideally you will have experience of curriculum design, course leading and taking responsibility for a course. You will have a proven track record in meeting deadlines and should possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills.
