Graphic Design department launches annual notebook design competition
Would you like to start your course writing, sketching and creating in a notebook with a cover that you designed?
Warrington & Vale Royal College's Graphic Design department are launching an exciting competition to design a notebook cover! The winner will have their design professionally printed onto notebooks which will be given out to existing Graphic Design and Creative Media students as well as new students enrolling with us this September 2021.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to both existing students at Warrington & Vale Royal College as well as those in Year 11 who are looking to join us in September.
Context:
The most basic piece of kit every artist needs is a notebook. They can be used to doodle, scribble, record thoughts and invent new ideas. You have been tasked with designing a creative and inspiring notebook cover that will ignite the imagination of young designers, artists and filmmakers. The design needs to reflect what it's like being a young creative individual. You can use any form of methods to create the design, such as photography, traditional and digital illustration, collage or painting.
Audience:
Your audience is you! The design must be suitable for 15-19 year olds, those who are studying or have an interest in creative subjects.
Requirements:
- The design needs to measure 148 x 210 mm (A5)
- Must be submitted as a digital file, either pdf, jpeg, ai, eps.
- Must be 300 dpi
- Maximum file size 5MB
- You have to include the following text- 'Graphic Design & Creative Media at WVR'
