A traineeship is for those who are 16-18 and who want to gain work experience with real employers leading to an apprenticeship or employment.
You should choose this traineeship to give yourself the best opportunity to acquire employability skills and to progress in the world of work by gaining meaningful work experience.
A traineeship will allow you to gain valuable work experience and industry knowledge alongside maths and English qualifications. In addition, essential employability skills and occupational studies will supplement your work placement, giving you the skills and experience employers want.
Your traineeship will include 2-3 days placement with a recognised employer, 6 hours of English and maths sessions (if required) and employability and occupational study sessions.
A traineeship can lead to an apprenticeship, employment or further education courses.
You will be allocated a designated traineeship job coach to guide you through your traineeship, alongside experienced employability and English and maths teachers. We also have a team of staff dedicated to providing learning support if it is required and a welfare team that are on hand to offer guidance, support and help when needed.
You must have a minimum of grade 2 in English and maths.
