Getting to college

Travelling to college couldn’t be easier!

Our Warrington and Winsford campuses are well connected and are serviced by excellent public transport links.

Our students come to us from across Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside via a number of different bus companies or national rail.

Warrington campus

Dedicated bus services

We offer a number of dedicated bus services for all of our 16-18 year old students, including a FREE shuttle from Winsford to Warrington campus. We have three routes which will bring you to college, and take you back home again. You can view the timetables for these services by clicking the routes below.

Please note, our Irlam to Warrington campus and Leigh to Warrington campus routes will incur a small charge of £1 each way from September 2021.

 Irlam – Warrington campus
(via Culcheth, Birchwood, Fearnhead, Padgate)

 Leigh – Warrington campus
(via Lowton, Golborne, Ashton-in-Markfield, Haydock, Newton-le-Willows)

 Winsford – Warrington campus
(via Hartford campus and Northwich Bus Station)

By train

Our Warrington campus is located approximately a 15 minute walk away from Warrington Central station on the Liverpool to Manchester lines.

By car or bike

We have plenty of free parking spaces and bike racks on campus for students.

 

Winsford campus

Free Arriva bus pass

We offer a FREE Arriva bus pass for students studying at our Winsford campus who live more than one mile away.

If you need an alternative service to Arriva, please speak to our Welfare Team.

Please note, the Arriva bus pass is valid during term time only.

By train

Winsford campus is a 20 minute walk away from Winsford Station on the West Coast Main line.

By car or bike

We have plenty of free parking spaces and bike racks on campus for students.

Other bus services

As a student at the college, you can also purchase a Touch & Go bus pass from £432, or an Arriva bus pass covering a number of areas across the North West including Runcorn, Wigan, St Helens and Liverpool plus many more.

All bus services will arrive at college in time for students to access their FREE breakfast before starting classes at 09.00 and will return via the same route at 16.50 each evening.

Please note, our dedicated bus services bring students to college in the morning and take them back to their pick up point at the end of the day.

Our dedicated bus services are generally over subscribed, so please do register your interest early. They will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
