Construction & Civil Engineering Academy

Set to launch in September 2024, our Construction & Civil Engineering (CCE) Academy will be based at Warrington campus and provide students with high-quality training and access to a range of industry-leading facilities.

Based at Warrington campus, the Construction & Civil Engineering (CCE) Academy will place the development of relevant digital skills and competencies at its heart. CCE will drive collaboration between the college, employers and the local authority to develop, commercialise and promote digital technologies for the construction and civil engineering sectors, as well as the in-parallel skills training that supports it. In so doing, the CCE Academy will assist the sectors to build high-quality smart, green and efficient homes in a faster, cheaper and more sustainable way than ever before. It is envisaged that the CCE Academy will be of national significance and become a renowned centre of excellence in the heart of Warrington.

The CCE Academy will enable students to understand the actual performance of buildings, whilst futureproofing building techniques. We will work with the sector in the development of standards, qualifications, apprenticeships and training courses, including low energy, low carbon buildings and sustainable products. The specialist equipment in our CCE Academy will cement the use of digital technology in building construction from concept and first principles, through to building across the complex footprint of the built environment.
